WIX

Creating a website from scratch is very easy when using WIX. Wix provides services for free for basic elements and pricing for more advance features is reasonable. One can choose from many templates provided. It is as simple as drag and drop, size and resize. All you need now is the information for your website. 

DIIGO

Diigo is a cloud-based information management system that with formats for most major web-browsers. Storing information searched and researched on the internet. Individuals have the ability to save internet pages either as an html and/or jpeg. All stored items are located in a file called my library which can be accessed from most mobile devices for off-line viewing. 

Individuals are able to annotate by highlighting, or placing squares, arrows, texts, and sticky notes. This feature brings much need attention for quick referencing at a later time or when collaborating with people with similar interests or with group members for a project.  

Stored items can be organized by tagging making it easy for searching. Diigo offers a variety of accounts from free to paid.  (pricing and information provided in the picture is as of December 30, 2012)

GIMP

GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP), is a free software currently available for Apple Mac users. Built with many features such as colorization, simple floating logo, layering, paths, and great features. For tutorials click here.

Creating or manipulating images is easy to do with simple tutorials available online or through youtube videos. Many videos offer easy step-by-step tutorials.

This is a useful tool for creating original logos or pictures which can be used for projects, presentations, labels, assignments, and other educational purposes.
